Hotel Raha Tower

I spent 24 days here on a work assignment, and the experience left me feeling despised and degraded. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, and I beg people not to stay here. The service felt completely upside down, as if guests were there to serve the staff. I had to keep track of every request and remind them repeatedly before basic duties got done. Restaurant staff, especially "Dada" Jasmin and "Dada" Vero, were openly disrespectful to me. Reception staff often looked angry and shouted at guests. Guests were also expected to be more generous to the staff. I overheard staff talking about guests in Kiswahili, saying, "They are just idiots." I believe there was open discrimination against Asian guests, with staff looking down on them and laughing, and assuming Asian people were Chinese, uneducated, and unable to speak English or Kiswahili. This place showed deep unprofessionalism, unacceptable service, and overt racism. The wisdom we gain at school should enrich our lives and those around us, not degrade people. The janitors were safe and respectful to me, though some staff often forgot to refill toilet paper and coffee powders. For your own sake and dignity, please don't come here. You might want to try "Kays Lodge" in Masaki area. It was cheaper, had better service, and was in a better location.
