I was here in 2015, after staying in lodgings with fewer amenities, and this place felt like a luxury. We saw loads of animals on the safari that set off from the camp. The outdoor dining patio is one of the images that has stuck with me from my time in Africa.

A worthwhile stay inside the national park, with animals often visible from the rooms and dining area. Things can be a bit disorganized, so it may help to call ahead and check that everything is in order.

We stopped for lunch, but there was no water or soft drinks available. A total waste of money.

I only came here for evening drinks and dinner, and it felt magical. There’s a water hole right beside the restaurant, where elephants mostly come to drink at night. The food and drinks were good too.

We didn’t see many animals, and spent a lot of time waiting at reception. The rangers were cool and polite, but their cars need trash bags and the rangers should carry binoculars.
