Kigala Hotel

I had a really relaxing, wonderful time at Kigala Hotel. The service left me very impressed. Thanks so much 🫶

I spent ten days here and felt right at home. The rates are affordable, the customer service is superb, and breakfast was amazing. The receptionists and kitchen staff were lovely. Some of them are simba fans, and we joked around like old friends. I’ll always stay here when I visit Dar es Salaam. Keep it up, managers and the boss, especially in a location like Buguruni.

The quieter rooms are at the back of the hotel. When I returned, I chose a 50,000 room, smaller than the 80,000 options but with most of the same things, and slept better there. From the bigger rooms on the 5th floor facing the busy road, I could still hear cars and motorcycles. Prices used to range from 40,000 to 80,000, though they’ve changed and I’m not sure what they are now. It’s a fairly nice hotel near the city centre. Water pressure was weak but okay. Cleanliness could be better: the towels didn’t smell fresh and need bleaching. The food was okay, but you wouldn’t miss much by skipping breakfast.

We felt at home, which was exactly what we needed. I’m Muslim, and we visited during Ramadan. The hotel provided Iftaar for Muslims, and my wife and I were also able to order something different to suit our tastes. It was nice in the end. Thanks to all the staff and management, the stay was lovely. I’ll definitely come back to the city and stay again.
