We spent a day relaxing here, with delicious food and very good service. It's a quiet, homely place with amazing staff. Sitting on the rooftop in a nice breeze was just what I needed for my birthday, even while working on my laptop.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but came for dinner a few times. In Zanzibar, food can be hit or miss, often fresh but short on flavour. Here it was consistently prepared with great care, served quickly, and beautifully arranged on the plate. The wines were good quality too. The people were lovely and clearly care about the island and its people.

I really enjoyed my time at this beautiful hotel. Subanda Boutique hotel has unusual bedrooms, a pool, a security guard, food, free WiFi, and other things. Amazing, Hakuna Matata 👍

I stayed by myself at Subanda Hotel for two weeks and felt comfortable the whole time. The staff were cheerful, kind, and always ready to help, and you can tell they care about their work. The food was especially good, with lots of fresh and delicious options. I’d happily recommend it and would love to return.

The mocktails were hard to beat, and the food was excellent too. I also really enjoyed chatting with the super friendly, helpful staff. Subanda Boutique Hotel is a great spot to connect with people and get a real feel for Zanzibar. Highly recommend! ❤️🍹
