Set in Mbezi Beach-Makonde, the hotel is near the main road into the heart of Dar es Salaam, which makes getting around convenient. The surroundings are beautiful, and the place itself is lovely. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the attentive, dedicated staff provide excellent service. A good choice for travelers.

The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious, and the standard is otherwise on point. The housekeeping supplies could be better, especially the sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and towels. I felt very secure, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's easy to reach by public or private transport.

We had our staff holiday lunch here for a small office group of 10, and this was our second visit. We booked a couple of days ahead, and they were ready for us. The buffet had plenty of tasty choices, including fresh fish, beef ribs, and wonderfully smoky grilled chicken. They started us with very good pumpkin soup and brought our drinks quickly. The service was friendly, discreet, and plentiful. I'd recommend MGH for a special lunch or dinner.
