Guido, the owner, was especially welcoming and helpful, always present and attentive to making sure guests had a great stay. The staff were kind, professional, and ready to help with requests, and the service was flawless. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautifully designed and impeccably clean, and the resort itself is a dream. Such a stunning place. We’ll definitely return, and I highly recommend it for a memorable Zanzibar stay.

My stay here was very bad. The room went uncleaned for three days even though I asked repeatedly, and my friend’s wallet went missing at the hotel and was never found. We felt unsafe. The food was awful too. Breakfast was just two plates of bread, one jar of peanut butter, and one of Nutella, far below what I expected. I attached a picture. The owner made different room deals, and I felt scammed. I was charged an extra $35 for every guest in my king-sized room, even on days when I had no guests. When I objected, the owner was rude and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay. After I tried negotiating and agreed to pay the unfair charges, the manager wouldn’t give me a receipt, saying printing one was too much trouble. When I insisted, she yelled at me, and my friend had to pay by card to get a receipt. The service was extremely poor, the staff unprofessional, the fees unfair, and the food and hygiene unacceptable. I strongly advise against staying here.

We spent 10 lovely nights at Tsunami Village and loved it from the first day. We wanted somewhere peaceful to stay with our 1.5-year-old daughter, and this was just right. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we loved sitting on the bed on our covered terrace with a sea view. The staff were super friendly and made the experience. The restaurant served really good food at moderate prices, with daily specials and a themed buffet every few days that you could reserve. I kitesurfed right on the beach, where they also offer lessons. There’s a dive center on site, and you can rent SUP boards for the clear water when the tide is right. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

Our kids were so happy here, and we’ll definitely be back. Sasha, the manager, made sure from the start that we felt at home. The place is charming, peaceful, and very kid-friendly, with a lovely beach and perfectly clean rooms. Breakfast had fresh fruit juice and homemade pastries. There are lots of places to relax, including hammocks, swings, and sunbeds around the pool. Our favorite was the terrace under the coconut palms with its amazing view. The pool has several depths, so it’s great for toddlers too. There’s also a kite center on site with Italian instructors. This really is paradise. Thank you for such a beautiful holiday!

The local staff were friendly throughout, which was a good part of our stay. But we had two unsafe incidents with heavy wooden lampshades falling off the wall. The first hit my child and had nails and screws sticking out, which was very distressing. We told the manager right away, and they promised to fix it, but another lampshade fell a few days later. We had also been promised a safe baby bed, but it took a week to arrive, despite our clear need for it. When we spoke to the owner about the lampshades, the response was highly unprofessional: “This has never happened before. Now what do you want”. After the second incident, it felt to us like guest safety and professional handling of concerns were not being given the priority they deserved.
