It's really nice that they grow their own vegetables.

We were on a Kilimanjaro and safari tour and spent two nights here. The lodge is tucked into the forest, a bit of a drive from Kilimanjaro, with separate huts and balconies looking out over the hills. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Kilimanjaro. The village around the property is close by, though, and the dawn prayer broadcast woke us at 5am on both mornings. Dogs barking outside also kept me from getting to sleep. The hut was charming, but the shower pressure was weak and noise came right through the walls. The meals were a real highlight, some of the best we had in mainland Tanzania. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a cute cat living on site. I wish we'd had more daylight time to enjoy the grounds and pool.

The view is great, and the staff are welcoming. Breakfast choices are limited, the showers were cold, and the surroundings were a bit noisy, though nothing unbearable. The wifi was poor.

I came for a staycation and loved the feel of the place. The huts up in the trees made me feel like I was in a tree house, and it was a lovely break from city life. Chichi, their beautiful cat, was so fun to play with. I still think about her 🥹
