Masai Camp

I stayed for five weeks, mainly because it was close to town. The campsite is in the city, so it can get pretty noisy. The price is reasonable, and there’s a small scullery area with water that looks clear but apparently isn’t potable. There aren’t many electrical outlets. The power was on regularly for most of the day, but it did go off. The ablutions were cleaned daily, though the showers were lousy: I only got a warmish shower a couple of times, and the pressure was poor. There’s a nice little bar 🍸, the staff are very pleasant, and you get an occasional view of Mt Meru.

I had a good time here with my dogs. Nice place, friendly people, and everything is affordable. It feels safe and cozy, so I highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to chill.

They’ve been around a long time, and the open space works well for both big events and small parties. The Thursday night wine parties are great.

The garden is good, the setting is peaceful and quiet, and the staff are very friendly. There’s also a pool table. The menu has limited food and drink options, and the food quality could be better.
