Bamboo Zanzibar

That spa massage was the best I’ve ever had! We spent two nights at Bamboo Zanzibar at the end of our trip and loved the quiet, nature-filled setting. The restaurant food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and hospitable, always greeting us with a smile. We loved our time there.

The kitchen had an off night, with a few dishes falling short. On an island known for its spice heritage, I expected the food to match the setting. Still, the management dealt with our concerns gracefully and professionally, and the service felt warm and attentive. My family felt welcome and looked after. We came just for the restaurant, and the wide beach and horizon views are stunning. It’s a place you want to linger. The vision and hospitality are already a strong foundation, and with some refinement in the kitchen, this could be outstanding. I’d return and hope to see it reach the level its location and service deserve.

I’m a wedding planner, and I know how hard it is to make every part of an event flow together. Nicole, Pendo, and all the powerful women of Bamboo made our three full days of wedding events feel sublime. The food, experiences, atmosphere, care, and the team all came together beautifully. I’ve traveled widely, but never experienced a hotel or people quite like this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Nicole and Pendo, for making our dream wedding in paradise happen. Bamboo Zanzibar has a special energy, made even more unique by such a devoted, loving, professional team. We felt completely at home and had the most incredible Swahili experience imaginable. The spa was zen, the pool was gorgeous, and the views over the private beach were exquisite. The food was good and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. A flawless 10/10 stay, you won’t regret it.
