This was our second stay at the villas, and I already know we’ll come back for a third. The management made us feel at home, and the staff were incredibly friendly, seemed to enjoy working together, and went above and beyond. I loved the sunrise, followed by a nutritious breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, and avocado toast. The south side of the island is calm, with no motorized vehicles on the water, and the ocean here is so unique: warm, very shallow, and it recedes a long way, perfect for a walk through the water. It’s a great place if you like poolside relaxation and cocktails at happy hour. The hotel suits couples and people who enjoy sunbathing and good food. Power and Wi-Fi outages happen around the island, but with the in-house generator, they never lasted more than 10 minutes here. Having everything we ate, drank, and did charged to the room meant I didn’t have to think about money until checkout. Asanté!

Jambiani Beach was, to me, the most beautiful beach in Zanzibar, and the hotel is right beside it. It’s a peaceful, authentic area that doesn’t feel touristy, with the local village just behind the hotel. The clean white sand is a two-minute walk away. There’s a lovely pool in the central area, and the breakfast and dining space is beautiful. Every dish we tried was excellent in both taste and quality. The rooms are spacious, most have sea views, and they include mosquito nets and plenty of luggage space. The bathrooms are large and comfortable. Internet access was the one small drawback since it wasn’t very reliable. Our stay at Kupaga Villas Boutique Hotel was unforgettable, with natural beauty, tranquility, and attentive service. Highly recommended for a Zanzibar getaway!

The hotel made a perfect first stop on our Zanzibar trip. We spent four nights there in December and felt very well looked after the whole time. The beachfront setting is beautiful, the food was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it to our friends.

We took one of the hotel’s excursions, a private dolphin tour, and saw around 12 dolphins along the coast. We even got to swim beside them. There are also small shops and local souvenir stores nearby, and everyone we met was incredibly friendly whether we bought anything or not. The hotel itself is small but charming, with fantastic food and service. Our room was very spacious, clean, and had a wonderful sea view. We’d definitely recommend it.

After three weeks of vacation and trying food and drinks in lots of places, I can say the best dishes and drinks were at kupaga. Everything was absolutely delicious! We first went there for breakfast, which was $10 for a full menu. The view is stunning, the hotel is very nice and clean, and the employees are super kind.
