Mudi House

The beach is only a minute away, and right next door there’s Watamu bbq restaurant, where the Swahili food is well worth trying. Fatuma and MonaLiza put real effort into keeping things clean and making breakfast, which was genuinely tasty. The trouble was the power: outages are common in the area, but the hotel has no generator, so we spent many hours without electricity. With better planning for that, our stay could have been much better.

Monalisa was so helpful and kind, always ready to lend a hand. We had a great time here, and the place is right in the middle of Jambiani. The three of us found our room spotless, roomy, and with enough storage. There’s also a kitchen, outdoor seating and a balcony, and breakfast was great each morning. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

We especially liked hanging out in the outdoor area, with its comfy couches and places to relax, and the location worked well for us. Monalisa was a wonderful host, helping arrange transport and letting us stay after checkout. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Definitely recommend! :-)

There were plenty of places to unwind, whether outside, on the balcony, or at the beach just a minute from Mudi House. My mother and I had a lovely time here. It’s a beautiful, relaxed place with an authentic feel, and the staff were kind and funny. The atmosphere felt very familiar and welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone. Thanks for such a lovely stay ❤️
