Mwezi Boutique Resort Hotel

The two pools were a highlight, especially the roughly 50-meter one, which is great for a proper swim. You can pick a livelier or quieter spot. The bungalows have a distinctive design and plenty of storage, plus excellent hot showers and good mattresses. I liked the sandy floor in the living room and the blend of comfort with a natural feel. The staff are caring and warm. Robert at reception greets you with a lovely smile and makes things happen, and plenty of the others do too, though I can’t remember all their names. Good value for the price.

We had a hard time finding the hotel because there was no clear sign on its side of the road, and we had to ask several people for directions. A visible sign there would really help. Once we arrived, though, the calm, welcoming atmosphere was lovely. I came as a walk-in with my niece, and we found the place clean, well kept, and beautifully arranged. The pool and toilets were spotless. My niece enjoyed the food, and the cocktails were fresh, nicely made, and presented beautifully. It was a wonderful visit, and I’d come again.

We live in Dubai and had to cancel our trip because the current geopolitical situation is making travel difficult. The hotel wouldn’t refund us and offered only a voucher that expires after a year. We had planned the trip with family coming from France, so it’s unlikely we’ll manage to reorganize it within that time. The hotel’s response didn’t feel very understanding or customer friendly.

I had a great off-season stay at La Luna at Mwezi resort. They kindly upgraded me for free, and I loved the room, especially its small kitchenette and seating area. The bed was comfortable, the shower refreshing, and the staff were lovely. They even remembered my name!
