Sweet Beach Apartments

The kind welcome from people all over the island made us feel at home, whether we were exploring Zanzibar’s history and culture or taking it easy on the beach. The staff at Sweet Beach were always kind and happy to help, and our roomy place had lovely ocean views. The beach and clear water looked like a dream, and the views made it a magical first trip to Zanzibar. We loved the island vibes and were so glad we chose to stay in Jambiani. Thanks to you all. We can’t wait to come back 💙🐬🏝️

We left Sweet Beach Apartments feeling completely relaxed after six nights. The location is beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable and had what we needed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. This was our favorite part of the whole time we spent in Zanzibar.

The staff were great, and it felt good to support a business owned and run by locals, even with the little hassles that came with it. Parking was confusing, and Google Maps sent us the wrong way when we arrived. Gina, the manager, was helpful when she came in the next day. We’d been given a rather basic room that smelled moldy and had no working AC while she was away in Stone Town, but we were offered a lovely balcony room by the pool for the first night. Gina then said we could stay in that room for the rest of our visit, which was a real relief. It looks out over Kupaga Villas, which costs twice as much, and the view is spectacular. If you book, try to request a room in advance. The two right by the pool are very nice. They also offer kite surfing lessons and island tours. After a day, I found myself craving breakfast, especially the very good pancakes. Thanks for a good stay!

We spent a wonderful week at Sweet Beach, and since returning we’ve really missed the scenery, the atmosphere, and the warm people. The beach-view apartments reach right to the ocean at high tide, and the restaurant feels like being on a boat. If you’re looking for a dream holiday away from the tourist crowds, this is the place.
