After safari, this was an incredible beach break with good food. At high tide the beach was lovely, while the very low tide was strange. One thing I really disliked about the rooms: every one has two large beds. That’s useful for a family, but this place is mostly for couples. Why have beds for four? I would’ve much preferred a sofa instead of the extra bed I couldn’t use.

The beach and resort looked like the ideal tropical shore from a Hollywood movie. My room was flawless, the service perfect, and it’s the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed.

We spent six days at Pongwe for our honeymoon, and it felt like a dream. The calm, clean beach and well cared-for facilities made the whole place feel special. The food was consistently amazing, and the staff were warm, personal and thoughtful. We felt like part of Pongwe. The management and ownership are doing a fantastic job. Pongwe has a special place in our hearts now, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you to the whole team for making our honeymoon unforgettable, with a special mention for Pili 🥹 Highly recommend. We loved the excellent food and beach, and the staff were very friendly. They tried hard to arrange a late checkout for us, but with the hotel fully booked again, it wasn’t possible.

The food and drinks were among our favorite parts of our 10-day honeymoon. Every meal wowed us, and the chefs deserve credit. The staff were fun and friendly, and we enjoyed the evening shows with local musicians. Our excursions were a lot of fun too, especially swimming with dolphins and turtles and going snorkeling. The beach was beautiful, private and the sea was incredible. The main pool got a little busy during half term, but we had our own mini pool with the sea view room, which was a wonderful touch. Thanks for all the memories. I’m already dreaming of coming back.
