We had a good time, and the location was great. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the missing mosquito net meant I got quite a few bites, even with the windows sealed. Our first room was near the road, so passing vehicles made it noisy. On our second stay, we asked for a quieter room and they gave us one.

I stayed for a week and would return. The hotel feels classy for the price, close to town but in a quiet spot overlooking the lake. My room felt safe, and I was comfortable leaving things there while I was out. The bed was comfortable, with lovely pillows and a thick, firm mattress. Everything seemed to work, including the air conditioning, which helped with the humidity. Room layouts vary a bit. Mine had a very small bathroom, though other rooms have more space.

The calm atmosphere and sense of safety made this a relaxing place to come back to after a busy day. The reception team, housekeeping staff, and waiters were all helpful and attentive. On arrival, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and courtesy, and that warm, professional service continued throughout my stay. Sunsets over Lake Tanganyika were a real highlight. I kept going to the terrace to watch the golden light on the still water, and the setting really does suit the name Sunset Vista Hotel. My room was spacious, clean, and well furnished, with a comfortable bed, neat bathroom, and air conditioning that worked well. The internet was fast and reliable, which helped me keep up with work and stay in touch with family. The restaurant had a good selection of local and international dishes. I especially liked the fresh lake fish, cooked just right. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with enough choice to get the day started. Sunset Vista Hotel made for a memorable visit, and I’d gladly return and recommend it to others.
