ARYA Boutique Resort

Swimming right by the hotel wasn't great because there was so much algae and ocean vegetation, so I'd choose another beach if swimming matters to you. The area itself is quiet, with no party scene, and restaurants serving food and drinks sit along the beach. Many places here are Italian-owned. The hotel is comfortable and very peaceful, about a minute's walk from the beach. Breakfast is generous, with coffee or tea, juice, pastries, fruit, toast, eggs prepared different ways, and more. There's an ATM roughly 4-5 minutes away on foot. It accepted my Mastercard and Visa without trouble on several visits. The withdrawal limit is 400,000 TZS per transaction, with a 15,000 TZS fee, so the card is charged 415,000 TZS and you get 400,000 TZS in cash. Some tribe boys offer necklaces and armbands for sale, but they're very friendly.

The owner wasn't there during my stay, but messaged me personally before I arrived and kept making sure I felt welcome. That made the visit feel really personal. Arya Boutique is a calm, green, beautifully maintained place to unwind, and the staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help.

We stayed five nights at ARYA and were made to feel so welcome and well looked after. The service was wonderful both in person and remotely, since our host was abroad. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, breakfast was great, and the atmosphere was calming. Amazing place 🙏🏾👌🏽

We want to thank everyone at ARYA for a stay we won't forget, and we'd love to come back. The beach is just a 30-second walk away, which was lovely. The pool was one of the best we've seen, roomy and comfortable, but the staff made the real difference. They were kind whenever we needed them, serving fresh fruit and breakfast in the morning and helping arrange excursions and places to visit. Laura (the hotel owner) was hands-on and always reachable by text to arrange whatever we needed.
