Melia Zanzibar

We loved the beautiful grounds, which were full of trees, flowers, fruit and wildlife, and the pool area was lovely too. Gabi beach, with its stunning views, was a short buggy ride away. It had a restaurant, bar, kayaks, loungers and towels. The hotel also ran activities like village and cave tours, Makuti craft and Swahili lessons. Zanzibar and the nearby area offered plenty to explore, and when we left early for safari, the staff packed us breakfast to take along. The food was a highlight. The buffet had a different theme every night, and we loved BBQ night at the Spice Market restaurant and Swahili night at Gabi beach. The hotel was well maintained, and the staff were so friendly, welcoming and happy to chat. Eli, one of the waiters, especially stood out as attentive and great fun. This was an amazing five-star honeymoon, and Meliá Zanzibar felt like paradise. I can't recommend it enough.

The location is stunning, the food was delicious, and the staff made my stay very pleasant. But that positive experience was overshadowed when I was charged twice for extra services, including a charge on a day when I was no longer a guest. I've sent several emails and opened a dispute with my bank, but the hotel still hasn't taken responsibility or refunded me. It's a beautiful place, but the lack of resolution on something this serious is very disappointing.

Everyone was kind and attentive, and the property itself was breathtaking. We had an amazing stay at the Melia Zanzibar and would happily recommend it to friends and family. I hope we get the chance to come back.

Greetings from Albania! The pool area and beach access were lovely, with wonderful ocean views. The rooms were spotless and spacious, thoughtfully arranged for comfort, and beautifully designed. Waking up in such a beautiful setting was unforgettable. Malia Zanzibar feels peaceful and luxurious, with modern, elegant design that fits naturally with the island. The staff were warm, professional and always willing to help, so I felt cared for throughout. Meals were fresh, varied and delicious, and every dining experience felt special. It's a great place for a romantic break or a quiet escape. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar, and can't wait to return.
