Antonio Garden Hotel

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. They were quite dark, though, and during my stay the shower had no hot water. The A/C also didn’t work very well. The hotel is in a handy spot near cafes, restaurants, and popular attractions, with a nice pool and sun beds. It’s connected to a restaurant that serves nice food and drinks. I’d recommend it for 2-3 nights.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the look of the place was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

The location was exactly what our group wanted: we could walk to everything in stone town during our couple of days there. The rooms were okay, but humid, especially the bathrooms. They had AC, though one unit was broken, and the shower head in my bathroom was broken too. Neither problem was dealt with. Wi-Fi was usually slow, and the guest access code never seemed to keep us connected. The booking caused more frustration. Booking.com only let me choose double rooms, so I reserved six, but we needed one twin room. The hotel’s site listed twin and double rooms at the same price, so I contacted the manager directly and was told we could have a twin among our rooms. On arrival, the receptionist charged us $11 more per night for it, saying the prices differed. We couldn’t prove otherwise, since that wasn’t how they were advertised, and the manager was nowhere to be found or reached. It felt like a scam. After our long journey, none of us had the energy to find another place. For a short stay in stone town, this might be adequate depending on what you need, but I’m sure there are better options.

The garden, restaurant, and pool felt like a real oasis in the busy old town, and the location was great. We had a great 4 night stay at Antonio Garden. Our clean Twin Room was spacious, with plenty of room for our things; the beds were comfortable and the mosquito net was a plus. Staff were super friendly, and the breakfast buffet had lots of veggie options. We also booked a Jozani and spice garden tour at the tour desk. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great. I had to log in again every time I opened my phone.
