The receptionist was always available to arrange what we needed, and the rooms and service were a plus. The place is furnished and decorated with locally made goods, with support and sustainability in mind. It’s a decent location, though there’s a main road out front. The ferry pier, city center and food court are about a 10-minute walk away, or 3 minutes by tuktuk, which is usually nearby. A really good choice for staying in Stone Town.

The staff are very friendly and greet you with a smile, and they serve a good breakfast with care. They make the bread, cake, jam and juice themselves, and it all tastes natural and good. The location is convenient for walking to the ferry and market area. Some rooms have small bathrooms, though they’re neat and clean. I was impressed by the souvenir shop too, with lots of products made from waste, like glasses, airtight jars and lampshades fashioned from beer and wine bottles.

We liked the location and rooftop view, and would stay here again on a future Zanzibar trip. It’s very close to the ferry and most places in Stone Town are walkable, with breakfast at a reasonable price. There’s often some noise from the harbor, though.

The breakfast is simple, fresh and delicious, especially the coffee. This lovely boutique hotel is a stone’s throw from the ferry, and the rooms are clean, tastefully furnished and have good AC. Management are friendly and always available to help. They also have a Zanzibar tours booklet that made planning navigation easier, with further help from the management. I’ll definitely stay again and would recommend it to friends and other travelers.
