Park Hyatt Zanzibar Hotel

We had a memorable dinner at Beach House Zanzibar. The seafood tasted very fresh and was skillfully cooked, and the relaxed atmosphere and lovely setting made the meal special. At Park Hyatt Zanzibar, breakfast was another highlight. The semi-buffet and à la carte options gave us plenty to choose from, and everything was well prepared, presented and full of flavour. The dining staff were warm, attentive and helpful. The service throughout the hotel was thoughtful and welcoming. I especially appreciated the person at the corner desk, who I think was arranging tours. I can’t remember his name, but he was friendly, gave us a Zanzibar map and offered bottled water for our outing. It was a small gesture, but a lovely one, and he deserves recognition. The whole team, from the front desk and security to the restaurant staff, was professional and attentive. The hotel itself is in a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of Stone Town, with a great spot for watching sunsets. Its elegant design brings together traditional Zanzibari charm and modern luxury. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable, with excellent amenities. Park Hyatt Zanzibar exceeded our expectations. The heritage architecture, comfortable rooms, food and service all made for an outstanding stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar, and hope to return.

The pool is a lovely place to sit, calm and well kept, with views over the ocean. The whole setting feels peaceful and elegant, and the service was warm, attentive and professional without getting in the way. Park Hyatt Zanzibar is beautiful. Its design fits naturally with Stone Town’s historic surroundings, and the details feel carefully considered. It was a really lovely experience.

My planned two nights turned into five because I loved this place so much. The team across housekeeping, the restaurants, security and the front desk were all terrific. Ally, who’s been here since it opened 11 years ago, was especially friendly and helped me feel at home. If I called someone from the room phone, a friendly voice always answered within seconds. The beachside location in Stone Town is ideal, and the pool deck is stunning. My room was big and well equipped, with great air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and amenities. You’ll also find Le Labo products in the bathroom. I like taking photos of hotel gyms, and this one was reasonably equipped. It was always empty while I was there, with enough equipment to keep me busy, though the selection isn’t extensive. There are a few treadmills too, which I didn’t photograph. I count this among my favourite hotels in the world. From the moment I arrived, the quiet, luxurious surroundings made a strong impression, and the service and food matched them, refined, attentive and memorable. The rooms seem to hover over the Indian Ocean. Park Hyatt Zanzibar is an iconic Stone Town landmark, where traditional Zanzibari architecture blends beautifully with modern elegance.
