Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa Zanzibar

The bathroom feels a little old-fashioned for a four-star hotel, but otherwise this really was paradise. The garden is flawless and the pool is big and nice. There are different activities each night, like karaoke competitions and volleyball tournaments, so you won’t be bored. The staff are extremely kind and helped create a great atmosphere all day and during the parties. The buffet and à la carte food were both delicious, and there are various cocktails at good prices.

The people here are what make the resort especially lovely. From the managers to the gardeners, everyone was cheerful, friendly, and genuinely helpful. It was my first stay, but certainly not my last. Thank you, Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa Zanzibar. I’ll definitely be back. The resort is on a hillside amid lush greenery, kept in exceptional shape and spotless throughout. Everything is thoughtfully designed in an authentic Zanzibari style, with charm and good taste. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and cleaned to a high standard each day. There are activities for all sorts of interests, including wellness and spa facilities. The private beach has trees and comfortable sunbeds, and the pool area is equally impressive and relaxing.

Scott, Daisy, Kissa, and the rest of the team at Ocean Paradise Beach Resort & Spa made our honeymoon deeply special. Ryan and I are so grateful, and we’ll cherish the memories forever. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Asante Sana. Scott was a real standout, with a heart of gold and a hilarious personality that made us laugh every day. When I had an upset stomach, he arranged for the Bahari Bar team to make a local mixed drink said to ease cramps, then kept checking that we were okay. He also looked out for everyone around him. Daisy from Guest Relations took care of so many details, including our complimentary foot massages and a beautiful beachfront honeymoon dinner. When Ryan and I got badly sunburned after a trip, she arranged for a staff member to bring fresh aloe vera stems from plants grown on the resort grounds. Her care touched us. Our cottage hut was decorated when we arrived, with a complimentary fruit basket and a lovely welcome and congratulations letter from the hotel. It felt so thoughtful. The room was cleaned and tidied perfectly each day, and was always fresh and inviting. Every meal was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and there were lots of delicious options, even at breakfast. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive. Kissa was especially kind each morning, often setting up a new table for us and making sure we had plenty of coffee. The gardens, clear pool, and pristine beach made for a beautiful setting. Everyone we met was smiley, helpful, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy. The reception staff welcomed us warmly late at night after our flight was delayed, and their thoughtfulness put us at ease after the long journey. Every staff member seemed proud to make guests feel special. We’re especially thankful to Scott, Daisy, Kissa, and everyone at Ocean Paradise Beach Resort & Spa for making our honeymoon the most memorable stay of our lives.

The food was delicious, and the sandy beach is close by. We stayed in a huge villa with a small pool, and didn’t have any mosquitoes. It was above all our expectations. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys relaxing by a sandy beach in 30-degree weather.
