Villa Fleur de Lys

The one big problem, hopefully just for our weekend, was the water. There was barely any running, and we had to catch the right moment to shower. This needs to be fixed before we’d come back. Everything else was great: management, service, staff, kitchen, garden, and location. It’s a little off the main road, so it’s quiet and feels like you have your own beach. All seven rooms have a sea view and a balcony or veranda. There are two small pools, a fireplace, an outdoor bar, and a fun area in the villa with pool billiards, table tennis, table soccer, darts, and a few gym machines.

The balcony looking out over the sea was stunning, and we’re already hoping to return to Villa Fleur de Lys for another memorable stay. We had a fantastic holiday with plenty of quality time with family. Our rooms were clean and well ventilated, the staff were professional, and the food was amazing, with fresh fruit every day. Simply awesome hardly covers it!

Everyone on staff was so kind, and the villa has a warm, welcoming feel. We loved walking along the beach and spending time by the pool, and there are lots of lovely spots around the grounds. Our room was spacious, with a beautiful ocean view. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant food is worth trying too. The chef’s dishes were flavourful and came in generous portions. We had three very relaxing days here.

The only thing I didn’t love was the wind, which was there the whole time. Otherwise, Villa Fleur was the best place we stayed for a relaxing break during our honeymoon in Zanzibar/Tanzania. We spent about 25 days across more than six places in Zanzibar and Tanzania, and stayed here for over four days in January 2020. The balcony view was breathtaking, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and they even upgraded us. The restaurant had delicious food and drinks, and the game room was nice. Prices seemed reasonable as I remember them. The staff were friendly, especially the manager and his assistant, like most people we met in Zanzibar. I’d definitely recommend the villa for a peaceful, relaxing stay. Just keep in mind this is about my January 2020 experience.
