The Kichwa House

The neighbouring restaurant served a really tasty breakfast of fruit, pancakes, chapati, coffee, and juice. We stayed for a week in this very clean, peaceful place and loved its atmosphere. It’s only a few steps from the beach. Manager G was always around to help and offer guidance, and he set out the sunbeds for us each morning. Thank you 🙏

Staying here felt like being part of a small, friendly community, which made it a lovely way to experience Zanzibar. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, and the beach is close by. I loved this place and would definitely recommend it. Asante Sana 🙏

The best part of our five days at Kichwa house was getting to know the lovely staff and local community. G, the manager, was so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely, clean room, and the property is right by the beach, with several local and tourist restaurants nearby. It was a special chance to stay right in the middle of such a beautiful, welcoming community.

G, the manager at Kichwa House, was friendly and attentive, and offered to arrange activities like snorkeling, boat rides, and massages at excellent prices. Ask him to organize airport transfers, since unfamiliar drivers may have trouble finding the house. Just watch out for Ginger the hungry cat. I had an excellent holiday here. The locally owned place has a comfortable room with a queen bed and mosquito net, a ceiling fan, and a full restroom. Coffee and tea are complimentary in the common area, which also has a refrigerator. Upstairs, the airy second-floor deck has chairs, tables, hammocks, and an ocean view. The beach is only ten yards away. Breakfast is included at a genuine locally owned restaurant next door. They also serve lunch and dinner, with freshly caught seafood for just $8-$15. You could spend five times as much or more at a resort down the beach. I’d rather put my money toward local wellbeing than into the already full pockets of foreign investors. Highly recommended.
