We were eight people and stayed in this villa for two weeks. For a house of this size, with the service and chef included, the price is incredible. Three meals a day are part of the deal, along with housekeeping and use of the pool. We planned the meals with the chef each day, and the food was amazing: lobster, octopus, tuna, squid, tasty rice, salads, and plenty more. We tried several restaurants in Zanzibar, but the chef’s cooking was the best. Hats off! Seafood is not especially popular at hotels, so after talking with people who had recently stayed in them and comparing what they paid and ate, this house felt incomparable. The bedrooms are arranged with one bathroom in one room and a separate toilet for another; one room has wide bunk beds that could sleep two people on the lower bunk. The dining table seats eight. The kitchen has a kettle, fridge, and cookware, though we didn't need them with the chef preparing our meals. A bigger shop is about a 20-minute walk away, and reaching the beach takes 5-10 minutes through the village. The pool water was around 30-34 degrees Celsius. The house has a high wall, a gate, and barbed wire, plus broken glass along the wall. Sometimes the neighbors’ rubbish burning was bothersome, though everyone in the area seems to do it. The village had daily power cuts lasting anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, so Wi-Fi was sometimes unavailable. A cheap SIM card with internet is a good idea; the chef can help you buy and activate it. There were ants all over the kitchen, and anything left on a table or counter was quickly covered. They even got to the bedroom doorframe, so that needs attention. The rooftop photovoltaic system is connected to the lighting, which stayed on. I recommend this house 100 percent. If you’re going there, choose it over a hotel. ❤️👌☀️
