We keep coming back to White Dream, and this was our third visit. Walking in through the front door to that sandy lounge, with the beach visible behind it, still felt magical. The place is relaxed and familiar, and everything, from the rooms to the rest of the hotel, is clean, cared for and tastefully decorated. There’s a cozy bar, a lovely pool and a beautiful beach right outside. The food is amazing. People say it’s the best on the island, and I can confirm that. The whole team is kind and attentive, and makes you feel welcome. Can’t wait for visit number four.

The beach was gorgeous and very well maintained, and the restaurant meals were all delicious with a great range to choose from. Our rooms were lovely, spotless and a perfect place to unwind. The staff were so friendly and did a lot to make us feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!

The beach-facing room views were the one real bright spot. The rest of the stay fell short of what we expected. Loud live music went on late, especially hard on our final night, the 2nd of Jan, when we needed sleep before an early flight. New Year’s Eve dinner was also a mess. We waited over an hour for the food we’d booked, then cancelled and got pizza instead. It spoiled the last day of the year. Service at the dining room was slow, and when the aircon stopped working for the whole day, the staff didn’t get it fixed until the next day. We were hoping for a restful visit. From the hotel’s reply, it doesn’t seem they accept they did anything wrong.

We dropped in for dinner without a reservation, which was fine since the restaurant had plenty of tables. The pizzas were really delicious and gave us a proper Italian feeling. We’ll definitely go back while we’re staying in Zanzibar.

We live in Kiwengwa and come here at least once a week. The food arrives very quickly, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant right on the beach has a lovely view. For us, it’s the best spot in Kiwengwa.
