The evening shows were really interesting, and we had a great time with the activities, from aqua aerobics and beach volleyball to darts. Dulla brought so much joy and energy. We also loved Eliza’s wellness and massage service, and ended up booking it quite a bit. On the resort’s top terrace, we had a lovely dinner with both good food and service. The beach was very nice, with plenty of exposed seabed to walk on at low tide. Bring shoes with very thick soles because of the urchins. There were enough sunbeds in a single row around the pool, the pool music stayed fairly quiet, and nights were peaceful. The rooms, shared areas, and pool area were all very clean. Staff in reception, the restaurant, activities, housekeeping, and service were attentive and helpful. We booked with the resort directly, including airport transfers, and everything was organized perfectly. The whole family enjoyed the stay. Food was good overall, though lunch could have had more variety. The all-inclusive drinks selection was pretty standard, but Costa is a much better bartender than the list suggests. Try an espresso martini, daiquiri, or another classic. I was surprised his skills weren’t promoted more, and that classic cocktails weren’t on the paid menu.

The meals were a real highlight for me: delicious, healthy, and nourishing, which I haven’t found at other hotels I’ve stayed at. I spent a week at The One Hotel in Zanzibar and would gladly recommend it. It’s a small, intimate place in a very quiet area, just right for relaxing. Everyone working there was kind, smiling, and helpful. The rooms were clean, kept in good condition, and cleaned every day. The front desk made arranging taxis and excursions straightforward, with good communication and everything running smoothly. There can be power and internet outages now and then, but they didn’t affect my rest. Being away from the usual connections even made it easier to switch off and spend time with the people I was traveling with. I’d come back.

We loved Zanzibar and had such a special honeymoon at this wonderful hotel. It’s in a very quiet spot, so it won’t suit you if you want a busy scene, but it was perfect for relaxing. The place was spotless, well cared for, pretty, and incredibly peaceful, exactly what we needed. Pure heaven. The staff are what make it special. Everyone was warm, happy, and willing to help with anything. Nico from entertainment, Amour at the bar, Stella serving, and Elizabeth at the spa were especially lovely. I had an amazing massage. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they made our stay memorable. We’ve just returned from 10 days here and already feel grateful for such a lovely honeymoon.

My flight was cancelled because of the situation in the world, but the team helped me find a seat on a plane for the very day I was originally due to leave. I’m so grateful to Ewelina, the main hotel manager, and the management team for taking such good care of me. It was my first visit to Zanzibar, and The One Resort made it truly special. The staff were always smiling, friendly, and helpful, and the atmosphere felt warm. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the quiet location away from busy areas was perfect for relaxing. I really recommend it if you’re after a peaceful, welcoming stay.

Thank you to Selim and Abdullah. The crew were kind and respectful, and the room mate and reception staff were good with our kids. We think the problem lies with higher management rather than the resort team. The resort is run by Europeans from Poland, and we felt there were some restrictions and that we had to work hard to get service. I hope this feedback helps with future improvements. Asante sana.
