Zanzibar Luxury Bungalows Bed&Breakfast

We had serious concerns about safety and hygiene, and the stay was extremely disappointing. There were only 2 staff members and 4 guests, including us, at the hotel, so it already felt poorly managed and unsafe. The hotel address we were given was wrong, and getting there was difficult because there was no proper road access. Staff also cut the power whenever we left the room to save electricity, which was very inconvenient. There was no breakfast because the chef was “off,” and we hadn’t been told in advance or offered another arrangement. The pool was dirty and full of insects, and our room had insects and even lizards. At night the power went out, and the generator had been deliberately switched off. We messaged staff repeatedly without getting an answer, so at 3 AM we had to leave our room and find someone ourselves to turn it back on. That felt alarming and unsafe. After bringing up these problems several times, we asked to move to another hotel. They refused to relocate us or give us a refund. We booked through Love Holidays, but they also refused to help or offer support, despite our explaining the safety and hygiene issues. The management and basic hospitality were poor, and the safety negligence was serious. I’d strongly advise people to avoid this hotel and booking through Love Holidays.

The service from the hotel was the best part. It’s one of the nicest places in Zanzibar, with a beautiful location and sea views.

The place was beautiful, tidy, and had great service. I had an amazing time and will definitely stay there again the next time I’m in Zanzibar. It’s the best there is.
