Paco was a great host and made sure my family was well looked after. We had a room next to the swimming pool, and the stay was a great mix of value and privacy, especially for families with kids. The room had no AC or fridge, but we didn't mind. We found it more relaxing to stay at the hotel than go down to the beach. The beach is 13 minutes away on foot and isn't ideal, though the hotel has bikes to borrow. The public beach has sea grass and is quite warm. Other resorts clean the sea grass for their own customers. We arranged directly with a captain to see dolphins, a sandbank, and go snorkeling for our group for $50.

The setting felt like paradise for the 4 weeks I spent here: calm and very green, with pools between the houses. I felt like part of the family. Maria, Paco and her Crew were all so nice and did their best to make us feel good. The breakfast and kitchen were natural and tasty. They also arranged daily tours with us, and we could choose whether to have a guide. The local guys shared lots of information, and the daily Trips around the Island were very well organised. It couldn't have been better. I'll definitely come back, and I'll miss everyone. A big hug!

The local team is the heart of this hotel. Their warmth and genuine kindness made it special, and they consistently did fantastic work. If you stay and enjoy the place as much as we did, you can give any gratuities directly to the staff to show your appreciation. We came back for a second stay because the design is beautiful. The lush plants, thoughtful details, and relaxed feel make it a lovely green oasis for switching off. As guests, it feels like a little paradise. Still, we sometimes saw a rather sharp tone used with staff, even when they were doing an excellent job. Coming from tourism and hospitality ourselves, this puzzled us. We understand the need to maintain standards and train staff, but feel that should be done with mutual respect and on equal footing. Those moments left a slight aftertaste, as we hoped the warmth guests receive would be reflected behind the scenes too. It's still a beautiful place to relax, largely thanks to its incredible local team.

Evenings offered percussion, acrobatic shows, live music, or time around the bar, which had nice food, including vegetarian options, and was open nearly all day. There were also different pool areas, a chill out longe, table tennis, and Volleyball. The attentive staff, including Salama and Aisha, served a special breakfast buffet, and everyone treated us like close friends while staying professional. In the morning, Maria's daily Yoga classes took place in a calm, special space, with Maria adapting to each participant and level. This beautiful Resort, with the lovely owners Maria & Paco & Pol, calls for another visit. We recommend this little paradise to anyone who wants to relax and feel the unique energy of the vegetation and the family who cares for each guest. We'll definitely be back.

The team were always smiling and so friendly, and the owner was attentive, kind, and clearly cared about making guests feel at home. I had a fantastic, peaceful stay at Salama Mbuyuni Bungalow. It's a beautiful, serene place to unwind, and the food was delicious. The Thai beef salad was a real highlight.
