It’s the nicest place we’ve stayed in Zanzibar so far. The room was spacious, the water was hot, and we got clean towels every day. They cleaned the room each morning, and the pool was great and clean too. Breakfast was a delicious seven-course spread, way more than we could finish. The restaurant food was great and reasonably priced for hotels in Zanzibar. Staff were always friendly and ready to help, and I’d highly recommend it. Just bring enough cash, because they only take cash.

We had plenty of problems on our own, but the staff at Laguna Palace, especially Boris and his team, helped us with everything we needed. It’s clean, cozy, and family-friendly, in a good spot near the beach but away from an overly busy street. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the restaurant has a nice range of tasty food. Chefu, the cook, was always willing to make something even if it wasn’t on the menu. If you’ve been to Zanzibar before, this place offers good value for the price.

A lovely place to relax, with a large swimming pool and some really nice shared spaces. Breakfast was filling and delicious, with fresh homemade juice. One thing to know: Google Maps shows the hotel in the wrong place. It’s opposite Mount Zion Lodge.
