Mnana Beach Bungalows

We had a wonderful time and will be back very soon. Mnana Beach Bungalows has fresh, delicious food and attentive, professional, friendly staff. The comfortable, well-kept rooms are nicely designed and sit right in front of the ocean. It’s an ideal place for a relaxing beach holiday or a quiet escape from Stone Town.

You can spend the day watching the world go by on one of the most stunning beaches you’ll ever see, sipping cocktails and eating homemade food. Sand banks and rock pools are just a walk out to sea, so although excursions are available each day, we didn’t feel a need to go anywhere else. It really felt like a paradise for a laid-back stay. Early nights come naturally when you want to be up for those beautiful sunrises and a walk along the beach before breakfast.

The room didn’t have a bathroom door, and the Wi-Fi was weak inside, though it worked well outdoors. Since we were there to relax and disconnect, that didn’t bother us. The place is quiet and peaceful, and The Rock restaurant is within walking distance. My partner and I felt comfortable right away, thanks to the friendly, welcoming owner and staff. The views of the ocean and pool are stunning, and the quiet beach is just steps away. Our room was cleaned daily, with a thoughtful freshen-up again in the late afternoon. Breakfast came with fresh juice, fruit and coffee, and the on-site restaurant was affordable and convenient. They also arranged airport pick-up and drop-off and were happy to organize activities, which made things easy and stress-free. It was just right for a quiet getaway together.

The staff were so kind and attentive. Thanks to Anna for looking after our son and playing with him while we had breakfast. The place was clean and well maintained, and the food and cocktails were great and very reasonably priced. You can eat at the hotel by the pool, on the pier or in the restaurant, with a set menu and daily specials. It’s a beautiful beachfront hotel, close to other restaurants and The Rock. It’s kid-friendly, with the essentials for a beach holiday, plus borrowable rubber shoes, sunscreen, beach and pool towels, kids’ toys and games. Everything we needed came at great prices. We loved our holiday here and will always remember it as a special place!
