Kilimanjaro Safaris Lodge Hotel

The place was clean, the atmosphere was amazing, and I got support in every way. I’ve stayed in loads of hotels around the world, but nowhere made me feel as at home and welcome as Kilimanjaro Safari Lodge. Walter, the manager, is amazing, and the kitchen staff are lovely. Extra star for Bestrice, who makes the best morning pancakes in Africa! After a week, I was really emotional about leaving. I’ll try to find a reason to come back. All my love to this place, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

It was my first trip to Tanzania, and I booked this Moshi hotel because I planned to climb Kilimanjaro. It turned out better than I expected. The house is surrounded by greenery and nature, and from my room and balcony I had an amazing view of Kili. My room wasn’t expensive, and Walter and Caren, the hosts, looked after me so well that I felt at home. I could order food and drinks whenever I needed, and Walter would come along when I needed to buy something or go into town, which saved me a lot of trouble. If you enjoy outdoor sports, the area is great for morning runs, with a very natural park of trees and grass right outside the apartment. There are also plenty of good bars and clubs nearby for going out in the evening. I’m looking forward to coming back and checking into my room again. One last tip: don’t hesitate to ask Walter or Caren for help or advice. I really appreciated meeting them in Moshi!

They’re very welcoming, and the hot tubs, brilliant restaurant with great dishes, and amazing bar were all highlights. I’d recommend having their own website instead of relying on third-party platforms like booking.com, agoda, and the rest.

I didn’t stay overnight, but I spent several days and evenings here. The hosts made me feel so welcome, especially my new buddy Walter. They really went out of their way for me.
