Olivia Guesthouse

The staff were warm and tried to help, though they couldn’t always point us to places for exchanging money or buying fruit. We stayed four nights and really liked the spacious room, private bathroom, balcony, and garden view, where we saw velvet monkeys. Breakfast was tasty and came in generous portions. Check-in and checkout were easy, and they let us leave our bags when we arrived very early. We’d happily recommend staying here and would return.

Even though I arrived well after midnight, I was welcomed warmly at Olivia guest house in Mwanza, Tanzania. My room was very clean, spacious, nicely furnished, and had a comfortable bed. In the morning I could hear birds in the lovely gardens, and I had a balcony too. The place is conveniently located within walking distance of the shoreline, with easy access to central Mwanza. The team did all they could to make my stay perfect. Thank you.

Room 105 felt more like a suite than a room, with lots of space, a comfortable feel, and a lovely big veranda where we sat outside listening to birds. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They lent us dishes and even helped with my wife's birthday cake. AC, WiFi, and hot water all worked well. I also enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, a peaceful spot to meditate.

We stayed here last year when it had a different name, wag hill, and different management, and were just as happy this time. Benny, the manager, and the staff gave us fantastic, friendly service. The rooms are comfortable and roomy, and the freshly made breakfast feels lovingly prepared. You can order food from the rooftop cafe, which is quite good too. We were too tired after long drives from rwanda to take photos, but Olivia is easy to recommend for its location, comfort, and beautiful rooms. The a/c was excellent, and we’ll be back again and again.
