The staff were super nice, and the room was clean. Breakfast was a bit repetitive, though there was plenty of it and it was quite good. We paid for a deluxe room, but the refrigerator didn't work and wasn't repaired during the whole week. The water pressure was zero, so we couldn't have a proper shower, and there was never any hot water. Wi-Fi never worked in our room. In the common areas it was hard to connect too, since the passwords were changed multiple times without warning.

The beach location was amazing. The water doesn't recede very far at low tide here, so we could swim any time of day. Our group of seven stayed 11 days across four rooms, and we all enjoyed our time at Baraka Beach Bungalows. The receptionist was lovely, and all four rooms were ready when we arrived. I even got to choose between two rooms. They were spacious and clean. A few things were unreliable, including hot water and Wi-Fi, but for a 2-star hotel in Africa the accommodation was perfectly adequate. My main complaint is breakfast: some variety beyond fruit, pancakes, and eggs would have been nice. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. We had very few problems during our stay.

We came for dinner and to watch the Premier League match. The fresh Cobia had been caught that day and was displayed on the beach. It was delicious, and the location was lovely. They also have tables right on the beach if you'd rather eat there.

Fresh catches are on display, so you can take a look and order what you'd like to try. The food is food, and the juices and mocktails are great. It's a lovely spot to sit facing the tides with a glass of wine or a meal, especially in the evening.

Good value for a simple, no-frills resort. The location on the beach is nice, and the room was spacious, clean, and had air conditioning. The bed was hard, and breakfast was basic.
