It’s a quiet, safe place with good food and good service, a nice way to get away from the tourist traps in Nungwi. I’m planning to come back and stay longer.

The staff made me feel so at home, and I already miss them. I also loved waking up with the pets around. I stayed for nine nights and honestly, this place was even better than I expected. The location is wonderfully calm, facing the sunrise, and there are no sellers on the beach. At low tide you can walk to Nungwi beach in about 30 minutes, or take a motorbike taxi. The hotel can help arrange one, and it’s cheap and a lovely way to meet locals. The village is about a half-hour walk for local food, or five minutes by touktouk or other transport. I wanted to rent a bike to explore, and the staff helped arrange it.

We stopped by hoping to have coffee, but were told there was a minimum spend of 20k per person even though there were no other guests. We only wanted a drink, so we left. A very strange policy for somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

A real hidden gem if you want to relax on a private beach in one of the island’s most beautiful, secluded spots. I’ve lived here for a year, and nothing beats this place. The staff are lovely, and breakfast is fresh and delicious. The only problem is you won’t want to leave.
