The staff made our stay at Tropical Nungwi feel easy from the beginning. They were welcoming and helpful, and arranged rides whenever we needed them. We hadn't planned activities ahead of time, but they helped us book a great two-day safari, along with jet skiing, snorkeling, swimming with turtles, and more. We came to Zanzibar for the first time in July, and were really happy with the breakfast too. It was included, with a nice selection of tasty à la carte options. The beach is a five-minute walk away, while Nungwi town takes about 20 minutes on foot. It's a peaceful spot close to both, away from the busiest tourist areas. My partner and I had an unforgettable time and would gladly stay again.

The road in looks like an off-road track, and the reception can give you the impression of a pension, so I wondered at first if the place would be worth it. Then we got into the room and had a meal at the restaurant, and everything changed. We stayed five days and had a perfect time. The poolside bar music could get a bit louder than it should, though. We arrived around 5am, before our room was ready. They could have told us to wait until noon, but instead took us to a nearby hotel and let us rest in a room for free. That was so kind after a nine-hour flight. Thanks, Tropical Nungwi team, I really appreciate it. Highly recommended.

The staff, location, and restaurant all helped make our trip memorable. They helped us book several day trips and arranged our safari as well. We were there as a family and would love to stay in the same place again. Kudos to the amazing staff ♥️ Esraa

My family and I arrived to check in, but the room had a strong fresh-paint smell as soon as we entered. I'm allergic to paint fumes, so it was unbearable. We told the manager, who said we'd be refunded and that it was safe for us to leave. After several days with no refund, we went back to sort it out. The manager called the owner, whose response was appalling: he was rude, denied responsibility, and refused to return our money despite what the manager had told us. We have the manager's assurance in writing and video of her clearly confirming the refund, but the owner now falsely says she never said it. More than £2,000 is still on hold, and we feel scammed and disrespected. I would warn others about the customer service, especially the owner's behavior. I crossed out the manager's name because she was understanding, and I don't want her getting into trouble with a boss who's already bad enough to steal money. I don't know whether he'd fire her too.

I felt very safe here, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the breakfast was delicious. It was so quiet that we slept really well.
