The food was fantastic, and everyone at Hakuna Majiwe made us feel comfortable and looked after. The staff were always friendly, helpful and genuinely caring, and happy to answer our questions. We had a lovely time in Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt relaxed and welcoming, and it was easy to settle in. I’d highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip there.
The staff really stood out: kind, attentive and professional, always ready to help with a smile and make guests feel welcome. Everything during my stay was well organized and handled with care. The atmosphere at Hakuna Majiwe Resort is calm and enjoyable, just right for unwinding and enjoying Zanzibar. From the moment I arrived, the experience was pleasant and relaxing, exactly what I hoped for. I felt well looked after, and the hospitality made the stay more memorable. I’d highly recommend Hakuna Majiwe Resort for a peaceful visit with excellent service and amazing staff.
The food was a real highlight, fresh, flavorful and well prepared, with enough variety to make every meal enjoyable. The lodge itself had a peaceful, relaxing feel, just right for unwinding and taking in the beauty of Zanzibar. I spent three nights at Hakuna Majiwe Lodge on a leisure trip. From arrival, the staff were warm, welcoming and attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I really appreciated the hospitality and would happily stay again. I’d recommend it to anyone after a calm getaway with great service and food.
It’s a safe, quiet location for visiting different parts of the island. But the beach is covered with debris from pine trees, and there are lots of really sharp shells in the sea, which make walking difficult. There aren’t any restaurants nearby, and the hotel kitchen is terrible. How can they make food that tasteless on the Spice Island? There’s also a particular greediness among Tanzanians that made dealing with them a special experience. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff were the kindest we’ve met so far, especially Mary and Carolina, who were incredibly helpful. The rest of the management team also helped us with everything we needed. When we had to leave very early one morning and would have missed breakfast, they prepared a takeaway breakfast package the night before. We had a wonderful stay at Hakuna Majiwe and would be happy to come back. Greetings from Romania.
