MOYO apartment

The beach is right beside the apartment, with views made for Instagram, and the village behind has friendly locals. The poverty is hard to see. That seems to be true across Zanzibar and makes you realise how lucky we are. Moyo the dog was an added bonus! The apartment is modern, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with air conditioning, a kitchen that was very useful, and a private pool. Everything we needed was provided. Breakfast on the lovely terrace was high quality each morning. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and engaging, and Sonia was so kind and helpful when my daughter got ill during our stay. Highly recommend this relaxing spot.

We had a great stay in this beautiful, very comfortable apartment in Pwani Mchangani on Zanzibar’s main island, Unguja. The huge terrace and private pool were lovely, and there’s direct access to the beach. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was pretty good. Sonia, who looks after the apartment, was easy to reach, helpful, and full of recommendations. The only drawback was that the bed felt a bit stiff.

We were there from New Year’s Eve through Jan 4th, and the apartment and beach were top notch. Sonia was wonderful, making us feel welcome and helping plan local activities and trips around Zanzibar. The two bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated, and having breakfast included was a nice touch. The beautiful beach and its tides make for great exploring along the coast. We also liked having the pool right in front of our rooms to cool off and relax in the hot sun. I’d recommend the area if you want a quiet escape with the people you love.

Sonia, the owner, is lovely and takes care of everything. The breakfast was really tasty, and the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a great pool, and sits very close to the beach. It’s quiet and special, with amazing design. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!
