The hotel is small and intimate, with a peaceful, authentic feel. Its setting in the heart of Pwani Mchangani village, overlooking the sea, was beautiful, and the views were breathtaking. Every detail seemed carefully thought through. My partner and I spent three days here, and the staff were consistently attentive and kind. The local culture also made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We miss the place already and hope to come back soon. Thanks for making our first Zanzibar trip so special.

The location right on the beach is nice, but the room was in poor shape, with deteriorating walls and rusty toilet, sink, and shower. We paid almost $150 a night, though to me the place was worth no more than $50. You could find better accommodation for that price elsewhere. The restaurant and bar were far too expensive. In the village, grilled lobster costs $20, while here fish was $50. Beer was $3 there and $13 here. Also, don’t leave valuables in the room: we were missing $200 after the first room cleaning.

Antonio was a wonderful host, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The attention to detail, the great food, and especially the best breakfast ever made our stay more than we could have hoped for. We took a chance booking Sofia Sea View for our honeymoon, and it paid off. Spectacular views, a large and comfortable room, and a quiet, romantic area made it perfect. Already looking forward to visiting again.

We stopped for lunch during a day trip nearby, and the hotel looked fabulous. The restaurant serves Mediterranean food with a nice range of dishes. We tried vegetarian and fish options, and everything was fresh and delicious.
