The hotel’s set up for Italian guests, and the staff are very nice, though Italians seem to get priority, especially if they’re willing to pay extra for things like coffee and drinks. During our week there, we also ran into more mosquitoes than on the mainland or elsewhere in Zanzibar. I never saw any spraying, which I’d expect as a basic part of keeping guests safe. There’s a lot of live cooking, and most of the food is delicious, but the choice isn’t huge. The drinks are made with tasty juices and local alcohol. They’re fine, nothing special. The children’s buffet is strictly for children, and staff will make a scene if an adult takes anything from it. Fries, for example, are only available there. Coffee comes black unless you pay extra for another kind. That’s ridiculous. It’s a good hotel, just not as good as its rating suggests. All-inclusive here is quite different from a standard hotel, with both pros and cons. I might consider it if I found a really good last-minute deal, but I wouldn’t pick it as a destination again.

The food was fresh, delicious, cooked on-site and full of local flavors. Staff and animators were always friendly and ready to help, and the different shows each evening kept us entertained. We had a lovely time here. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, especially for a romantic getaway. We’ll definitely come back. 🫶🏻

The owners’ personal care really made our stay feel special. They were around, paying attention to the details and making sure everything ran smoothly, and we felt genuinely at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious, comfortable rooms, thoughtful decor and spotless shared areas. We’ve just spent a few amazing days here and couldn’t be happier. We’ll definitely return. The dinner and evening entertainment were highlights, and the staff were lovely. The resort is very pleasant, with cottages in green surroundings and beautiful beaches nearby. We had one of the cottage types with its own pool. We visited during the winter holidays, at the end of February and beginning of March. It’s been around for a long time, and some shortcomings mean I couldn’t give it five stars. Breakfast was very repetitive, with a poor selection. To get water for the room, you have to bring your own bottle to a dispenser. You only get one key card, so the air conditioning switches off when you leave; after coming back, it takes a long time to cool the room again.

The hotel is right on the beach, but the sea isn’t really swimmable for much of the day. Because of the tide, we could swim only before 7 AM or after 5 PM, and the water was full of algae and garbage. Sellers also came in crowds and bothered us. We paid 300 euros more for all-inclusive instead of full board, but alcoholic drinks still cost extra, apart from one local alcohol they put in whatever drink you order. Water was available only by the glass from four machines around the resort. We chose this hotel based on reviews on different websites, but they were crappy lies from people paid to write good reviews. Never again.
