Anantya Serengeti

Paulo made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. He welcomed us, helped with laundry, served as bartender and waiter, and coordinated our trips to and from the cabin with the Maasai. Everyone was warm and professional, but his kindness and dedication stood out. The food was excellent at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with fresh, well-prepared dishes that could hold their own in a fine dining restaurant. Our spacious, modern cabin was comfortable and beautifully prepared, with all we needed and more. Anantya Serengeti’s setting in the heart of the Serengeti meant wildlife all around us, and the hot water and breathtaking views added to the experience. It felt magical, and I’d happily return.

The tent was a real highlight for us as two couples: we shared a lovely common space, while each bedroom had its own huge bathroom with all the comforts we needed. From bed, we could look out over the Serengeti plains and watch animals pass. Monkeys came close, elephants were farther away while we drank morning coffee, and buffalo walked by at night. It felt wonderfully safe despite being surrounded by wildlife, thanks to the Maasai escort to and from the tent. We also went on an hour-long walk into the fields with him to look for animals on foot, which was a great extra experience. After the long, dusty drive from the Ngorongoro crater, we were greeted with warm, moist towels and fresh hibiscus juice. The team were so friendly and explained what we needed to know about the place. Breakfast and dinner were both great, and the generous lunch pack of rice, beef, vegetables, fruit, chips, and more was tasty and kept us going through our safari day. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’d definitely recommend it for a Serengeti safari!

We could pay by card everywhere, so no cash was needed, which was a nice bonus. The food was perfect, and dinner was the best we had on safari. The tents were large and very clean, with mosquito nets all around and a terrace looking out at a spectacular view. The road to the lodge is a game-drive route, so we saw animals on the way in. This was the best lodge we stayed at during our seven-day safari. The staff were so friendly and did everything to make us comfortable. Paulo is very funny. Highly recommend!

We had a perfect three-night honeymoon stay here in October. The safari excursions, animals, and location all made it a trip of a lifetime. For such a remote place, the lodge had everything we could want, including delicious food and really friendly staff. Max, our butler, was especially lovely. I keep dreaming about coming back one day. 100% recommend.
