At Roika, you wake to the sounds of animals and might even pass a giraffe or zebra on the way to your lodge at bedtime. You're surrounded by wildlife and the outdoors. We spent two outstanding days here: the staff were top notch, the food was excellent, and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend a stay.

At night, the sounds of nature were so close that it felt magical, and wild animals could wander freely through the grounds, elephants included. That made the stay feel truly authentic. The tents were clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive. Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge was an easy stop after Tarangire National Park, with a smooth onward trip to Manyara. It was the first lodge on our Tanzania safari and set a very high bar. We’d happily recommend it for a safari in the area.

Wild animals, even elephants, moved freely through the camp, and we could hear nature all night. That gave the stay a memorable, authentic feel. The tents were clean and comfortable, with what we needed to relax, and the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge also worked very well as our first stop: we could reach it easily after Tarangire National Park and continue on to Manyara without trouble. We’d highly recommend staying here.

We only had one night here after a full day on safari, and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a beautiful spot, with animals nearby that even walk through the property. Our cabins were comfortable and fun, and the staff were really friendly. They also made it easy for our group of nine traveling from the United States. Dinner was wonderful, and the full breakfast had plenty of choices for everyone. I’d definitely come back, and it seems like a great place for an even bigger group. Can’t wait to return.
