Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The location works if you're going to the ferry, though it's a bit tucked away, and I wouldn't recommend it for solo travelers. The price feels high for what you get. Rooms look simple and a bit sad, but have what you need: a fan, AC, and hot and cold showers with good pressure. Breakfast on the rooftop was disappointing. A few small room fixes and improvements to breakfast could make this place much better.

The rooftop terrace is a nice spot for breakfast in the morning, and the building looks like it was built or remodeled fairly recently, so many things still feel new. Prices are reasonable, and it's not too far from the ferry. I'd highly recommend it.

We came as two young women hoping to spend our time exploring Stone Town and the surrounding area rather than hanging around the hotel, and this place worked really well for us. The reception helped a lot, especially with arranging different tourist activities at good prices. We did a blue safari, spice tour and city tour, and would have tried more if we'd stayed longer. There's WiFi, a practical breakfast with fruit, tea, juice and eggs, and a good location near the ferry port, around a 10-15 minute walk from Forodhani park and nearby areas. Really nice budget stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable place in Zanzibar.

The rooftop breakfast was great, and the staff were keen to help. It's good for the price, though being next to a fish market means it smells a bit fishy, as you'd expect. The bathroom plumbing could use an upgrade.
