Tikitam Palms Boutique Hotel

After a week on safari, we spent a few days relaxing here and finished our honeymoon in such a beautiful, peaceful place. Everyone was kind, and there were plenty of different activities to choose from, so we never felt short of things to do. Thanks to all the staff for helping us unwind.

Tikitam felt like a little haven, tucked into a private bay about ten minutes from the busy, beautiful Kiwengwa beach. The rooms were clean and lovely, surrounded by nature. We could float in the pool while blue and red monkeys moved through the trees, or head out on an ocean safari with Juma. Evenings were a treat, with Chef Mobu serving a different delicious menu each night. The staff made the stay especially warm: Witness, Rebecca, and Suni made us feel right at home and so well cared for. We highly recommend it!

As a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe here, and the service was the best I’ve had at any hotel anywhere. The decor is gorgeous, the facilities are beautiful, and the food was great. We chose half-board and loved the menus, with a different theme each night. Nothing to fault, highly recommend.

We’re on the last day of a five-day Zanzibar break, and I’d give Tikitam and the lovely team seven stars if I could. The little details were handled so well, from the welcome drinks and food presentation to the care put into everything they offer. The chef uses very fresh ingredients, and every meal was excellent. If you ask for something off-menu, he’ll do his best to make it for you. The rooms have a boutique feel, with lots of quirky antiques, and we loved seeing lizards, monkeys, and butterflies outside. Our excursions were very well arranged, and the guides were welcoming and proud to share their culture, history, and nature. Snorkeling was the highlight for us. I’ll be back with my grown-up children next time. Love Tikitam and the whole team!
