We only meant to stop for a drink, drawn in by how lovely the area looked, but the upstairs patio view after sunset was a real surprise, with so many stars. Damian was friendly and attentive, and helped us choose drinks. We’d also bought something from the shop downstairs, so he combined the bills so we could pay the total in USD and get our change more easily. That thoughtful help made us feel really looked after. Thanks, Damian, we’ll come back one day.

The pool was refreshing, and breakfast at the restaurant was great. We had an awesome first-floor room looking out at the beach, ocean and boats. The customer service was wonderful from check-in through checkout.

We were on our honeymoon, and the hotel surprised us with a complimentary suite upgrade, which made the stay feel even more memorable. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive throughout. That care meant a lot after we’d had a rough time with food poisoning from another restaurant the day before. Their concern turned a difficult beginning into a wonderful stay, and we’re very grateful. We’d happily recommend this hotel.

We had a corner room with a fantastic sea view and sunset, and it was kept very clean with daily service. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh coconut and sugar cane drink. Great location for getting to Stone Town centre. Highly recommend this hotel.

The ocean views were breathtaking, especially as they opened up while walking along the corridor. Serena is close to most attractions, which made the location perfect for us. Our gorgeous room had a balcony, lovely doors and wall art, plus beautifully crafted furniture. Chris, Iddi and Suleiman were particularly welcoming and made the stay special. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
