Fayniy Motel

We stayed with friends at the "Fayny" cottage from 4.08 to 10.08 and liked it a lot. Lina, the administrator, deserves a special thank you for keeping Fayny clean and orderly and for being so friendly and hospitable. She really tries to make guests feel at home. The location is convenient, with a bus stop nearby, and there’s parking in the yard if you come by car. There’s also a barbecue and a kitchen with all the utensils you need. The whole first floor is a dining room. Each floor has a refrigerator, iron, hairdryer, and places to relax. The balconies are comfortable too, perfect for morning coffee while looking at the mountains.

The location is convenient in several directions, with a river nearby and mountain views. There’s a hairdryer in the room, and the owner can meet you earlier or later for check-in and check-out for an extra charge. They also give tips on what to see and where to go. Still, this felt like a roadside motel more than a cottage, and I’d say two days is the limit. We weren’t planning to stay for just a few days, but cooking breakfast meant waiting in line behind residents who were constantly cooking and frying, along with some workers or someone. The outdoor barbecue area had a grill but no table or chairs, and the yard was full of cars. Our room for three was on the second floor, with a window facing the road. It was too small, and there weren’t any table or chairs in the room. Car and motorcycle noise, voices, and the traffic lights chirping at night made it hard to sleep. There was no room cleaning during our 7 days/6 nights. Towels were offered once, and toilet paper was provided daily. Drying clothes was also a problem: there was one portable dryer, not on the third floor, and it was constantly cluttered and occupied.

There’s a lot nearby to do, and Bukovel is close. The yard has parking and a barbecue, and there’s a large outdoor playground nearby. Inside, it’s cozy, the price is good, and the kitchen is accessible. There are tables for eating, a refrigerator, hairdryer, and iron. The road noise was a downside. The towel dryer didn’t work, and the room wasn’t cleaned or the garbage taken out during our 6 nights. The TV also didn’t work, and the plumbing could use some repairs.

Vacation 01/07/2022 Grandma Vasilyevna deserves a heartfelt thank you. She feeds us generously, and the portions are huge and delicious. Breakfast is 150 UAH and dinner is 200 UAH. The neighboring hut is a pigsty by comparison!!!! The cook there is clumsy. The hotel itself is amazing. Our rooms were clean, warm, and newly renovated, with new bedding and hot water. There’s a kettle, Czech coffee, and "mountain water" on the floor for making tea or coffee. I was glad we couldn’t hear the neighbors through the wall. You can hear them through the doors, but it’s bearable. Cars go by all night because the hotel is right by the road, but it wasn’t too bothersome, it’s much noisier at home! The prices are very reasonable: a double room is 900 UAH a night, and a triple room for 2 adults and a 12-year-old child is 1100 UAH a night. Solid five stars!!!! There are a few downsides, as anywhere: the bathroom door creaks, the bathroom fan is dirty, and there aren’t enough hooks in the room. Just little things 😉✌️😀
