Guest House Mountain

We booked a room for two, which had a double bed and a single bed. Our friend wanted to join us as a third person, so I called the owner, explained, apologized for the inconvenience, and said we were ready to pay. He got very angry and said he wouldn’t let ten people sleep in the room. He said he’d return our prepayment right away and would throw us out in five minutes if he saw three of us there. I understood that our friend might not even be allowed to visit. That conversation left a really bad feeling, so we booked another hotel for three right by the ski lift. I know our booking was for two, but I don’t understand that kind of response to a simple request. At least the owner returned the prepayment without any argument, but the holiday mood was already spoiled.

The cabin was cozy, and the rooms were spacious with everything we needed. It’s a five-minute walk to the first ski lift, which I timed yesterday. On the way back, it took ten minutes because it’s uphill and we had ski boots on. I’d rent skis near the first lift and leave them at the rental shop in the evening, so you don’t have to carry them around. A wonderful place, I definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed here four times, including the 20/21 season, and still want to come back. The hosts keep working on the place, so each visit brings some changes and improvements. You can tell they put a lot of heart into it. It’s near the ski lifts, with everything within walking distance, and meals are right next door in the adjacent courtyard. The rooms are comfortable, warm, and cozy, with fresh linens and towels, comfortable furniture, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, and a 32" TV. Hot water is reliable. Most of all, it’s always spotlessly clean, especially the bathroom, which matters a lot to me. The hosts are very kind, and it feels like home.

Vladimir, the owner, was really nice and pointed out where to find things, plus gave us contacts for taxis, vats, and quads. They checked us in two hours early, which was a nice surprise. We stayed January 7-10, 2022, at 2400 per day. The hotel is cozy and clearly cared for. It was two years old, but looked as if it had opened yesterday. The room was very clean, and the bed and towels were snowy white and smelled fresh. There was hot water all day. From the room we could see the main ski lift and the pretty houses lit up at night. We chose it because it’s five minutes from Bukovel center, the ski lifts, and all the restaurants. I recommend it.
