Park Hotel Fomich

The restaurant is excellent. The spa could be nicer if it weren’t packed with screaming children.

We found a BUG in the toilet paper we were using. See video below! The hotel’s only response was “sorry.” Not sanitary, and a terrible experience. Booking.com’s description clearly says there’s an outdoor pool and sauna, in addition to the indoor facilities. The infinity pool was closed during our stay, the other pool was very cold, and there is no outdoor sauna. We specifically asked reception about the sauna, and the woman ironically said we were looking at another hotel online. When we asked about the two hot tubs/pails outside, she said they didn’t have them, even though we could clearly see them from our room. Later, they blamed the wrong answer on an incorrect translation. Not professional at all. I do NOT recommend this hotel, it was the worst choice of our trip to Bukovel!

The saunas were nice, though the Roman bath wasn’t working on two of the four days I went. Staff were all normal, but I got a huff when I asked for two room keys. Weird. The hotel is far from the slopes, and there’s a big hill on the way to the ski shop or local store. I don’t mind that, but I’d say it’s best to bring your own car. There are lots of slippery floors, so I really don’t suggest this hotel for older people. There are also lots of stairs, and you have to go outside to get to breakfast, the restaurant, or reception. It’s pretty poor that there are no covered walkways. The food and drinks were good and fairly priced. On balance, it’s a very okay place.

The outdoor pool is a killer feature, and the spa is nice and included in the room rate. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, with a stunning balcony view, and breakfast was delicious. Client service was top-notch. It’s a bit far from the ski lifts and Bukovel centre, but with a car or another transfer, that’s no problem.
