I stayed five nights and found the hostel comfortable to live in. It's right in the city center, and the rooms and bathroom were as tidy and pleasant as they could be. The staff were friendly, helpful, and did their job well.

With just 20 minutes left before our train reached the city, a hotel employee called to say there was no room for us. She hadn't been sure the day before, apparently, and waited until arrival day to let us know. They offered a room without a shower or toilets, then suggested we find something better and come back to check in tomorrow.

When I reached the hostel before 11:00 PM, I still had to find somewhere else to stay in a city I'd never visited, during an air raid warning. It was frightening and stressful, and the administration showed no basic humanity. Their rude response erased any possible good points about the place. If there's a problem on your way, it seems you'll just be refused and left to deal with it alone. I sincerely don't recommend staying here, especially for a late arrival or a first visit to the city. I'd told them in advance, both when booking and on the website, that I expected to arrive around 22:00 to 23:00. My train was delayed, so I called again around 22:00-22:30 to let them know. The administrator answered harshly and unprofessionally, said nobody would wait because it was already late, and told me to book another hotel. I had done my part responsibly, the train delay wasn't my fault, and this was my first time in Chernivtsi.

I don't recommend it. My daughter booked ahead, but when she arrived they told her to wait until lunch and suggested she find somewhere else. The service was terrible.
