Road Star Hotel

We came on a Sunday evening with 10 people, and the service was ridiculous. We waited 20 minutes for a few pots of tea, but it was so strong and bitter nobody could drink it. We asked for extra water to dilute it, and none ever arrived, even though we stayed for an hour and a half. The waiter never checked back, asked if we needed anything, or cleared the table, so dirty dishes sat there the whole 90 minutes. We also ordered a salmon meal, which came cold and so dry we couldn’t eat it. The children in our group ordered portions of fries. After 27 minutes, I went to the administrator to cancel them and complain about the wait. He argued it hadn’t been 30 minutes, even though he checked the order time and saw it had been 27. Without apologizing, he said that wasn’t too long to wait for fries, that “this isn’t fast food,” and that they had served our children. He also said “this isn’t a restaurant for children.” I didn’t know this place discriminated against children. Children are people too and deserve good service just like adults. I understand it’s a sit-down restaurant, but 27 minutes for fries is ridiculous. What a joke. This place should be embarrassed, and the staff should face serious disciplinary action. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody.

In Dnipro, this is the grill place I like best. Most of the dishes are cooked over charcoal, and they come out delicious with a lovely smoky aroma.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. There’s a good range of choices on the menu, too. It felt professional and comfortable, and we’ll be back.

The breakfast gives you a good energy boost, with a portion that’s neither too small nor too light. My first impression of the place was that it felt comfortable.
