I got in late, around 10:00 PM, but they let me check in, which I appreciated. I was there for one night during a cycling trip. The double room with a large bed cost 1200 UAH, and for that price it felt like really good value. The room was pleasant, clean, and well kept. For a city of regional significance, the hotel went beyond what I expected.

It’s on a quiet side street, yet the main promenade is under a five-minute walk away, with shops, bus stops, and cafes. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with nice furniture and a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was large. Everything was very clean, and the price seemed perfectly reasonable.

The positive points were a room for people with disabilities and staff who paid attention to guests' belongings. We left a gift bag in the fridge, and they called to let us know about it. The rest of our stay with my husband was disappointing from the start. When I asked about bringing our two small dogs in a carrier, they first said it would be 500.00 UAH per dog. I was surprised, since even high-end hotels charge no more than 200.00 for a dog, so I asked to see the price list. They wouldn't show it and then said animals weren't allowed at the hotel after all, and that we could find somewhere else if that didn't suit us. It was a warm night, so the dogs slept in the car while we went to our room. That room had rubbish that hadn't been taken out, lots of dust, and hair and stains on the bed linen. There was also soap left in the shower by previous guests. They moved us to another room, which was a little cleaner, but still had dust on the bedpost and the lamps above the bed, a cigarette smell, and hair in the shower drain. It was unpleasant. The rooms were very dirty, and I regret not taking the reception's advice to look for another hotel.

The hotel is warm, comfortable, and clean, with everything needed for a stay in the rooms. Hotel Liz is in a lovely area, with all the necessary shops nearby. The administration was professional, welcoming, and caring. The price matches the quality. If I get the chance to return to this city, this is the only hotel I’ll stay at. I recommend it 😘
